"Avoid the rabbit hole!"
Where do I start! I don’t remember the exact moment I decided I needed to go to Rythmia. I just knew I wanted to learn more, so I booked a call. As soon as I got off the phone with Christopher, I knew my answer—even though I said I needed time to think about it. I’m trying not to make impulsive decisions, and my gut was telling me it was a definite “heck yes.” I booked in July for January, and while it felt far away at the time, the weeks passed quickly. I avoided telling too many people because I didn’t want to explain my “why” or, worse, hear their opinions, whether “good” or “bad” (I now understand there is no good or bad). I wanted to go with my heart open and allow myself to experience it through my own lens. I did speak with someone who reached out to me after hearing I was going. She had nothing but wonderful things to say, so that only confirmed I had made the right decision for me. I avoided watching YouTube reviews and going down the rabbit hole. Those are people’s personal experiences, and I knew I would have my own. I wanted to come in with as few expectations as possible. The medicine will show you, what YOU need. Every experience is truly different. Trust the process. From the moment you drive up to the property, where you’re warmly greeted, to the medical review, the A+ accommodations, the unbelievable food, the facilitators, the well orchestrated ceremonies, and the kind and loving souls that looked over us while we were taking the medicine, I felt safe. Safe to face what I needed to and then feel equipped with the tools to integrate what I learned, in order to stay connected with my soul. My heart did heal. I received what I came for and so much more. I’ve already booked for next year. If I could offer one piece of advice, it’s to book at least a few days or a week after your stay somewhere that will allow you the space to process what you’ve taken away. Personally I could not imagine jumping on a plane and back into “life” so quickly, however many did.
