"Life Changing Week"
I went to Rythmia in early August of 2024 with my husband to try to find some help/relief from the deep grief from my father's suicide the year prior and our tumultuous relationship before that. I had read the reviews prior to booking and had high expectations and a lot of hope. I had never done ayahuasca before and was nervous, but trying my best to not have any expectations or worries. It's now been over a month since I came back and I can honestly say that making the decision to come to Rythmia was one of the best decisions of my life. I came in without any spiritual practice and left with a profound respect and love for myself, and a practice that I am following daily now and will continue to follow. The people at Rythmia are so full of love you feel like you are part of a family that truly cares about you and your life moving forward. I have also not had any alcohol in 60 days and am feeling great! Everyone's experience was so different while on the medicine. I, like most people, googled what to expect on ayahuasca and had a clear vision in my mind what that might be. I was terrified I might see scary visuals or "go to hell and back" like other people had mentioned online. Do yourself a favor and stop looking up what to expect because I can guarantee you that your experience will be different. I did not see any visuals but my body was cleared of so much pain I can't even put into words how different I feel. I came back home feeling whole again. I am forever grateful. I loved all of the staff and my favorite part of the entire experience was when the ceremony ended and the shamans would ask us to circle around so they could share their wisdom with us. I wanted to hold onto every single word they said. My key takeaways were: we need to get back to Mother Earth. We need to love each other. We need to love our bodies and take care of ourselves. We need to connect to source and stay connected. I could not imagine doing ayahuasca for my first time without the integration program they have created. The classes were so helpful in understanding the ceremony and also how to move forward in life with this new information. Shout out to Kim from the 'Miracle is You' class. DO NOT MISS THIS CLASS. It is not mandatory but our entire group of 29 people all agreed it should be. What a beautiful soul you are, thank you for caring so much. I so looked forward to this class every single day! Thank you to everyone who have dedicated their lives to healing people at this special place. My husband and I can't wait to come back. ❤️ *I have to add this: before writing my review I did a quick look to see if anyone else from our group wrote a review and was shocked to see the last few 1 star reviews. I read the one where the person wrote they were not allowed to leave the maloca and were tied up with yoga straps. I do not believe this person actually came to Rythmia. You are NOT a prisoner when you come here. You are free to move in and out of the space as you please and the facilitators are KIND.
